Artist Statement
The greatest compliment I ever received came from a collector. He said, “Your paintings make me happy. I can look at them over and over again, and feel uplifted.” That is still the goal.
My inspiration comes from places I have seen and places I long to be — aspen forests, European countrysides, fields of light and color. In a busy world, I want the painting to offer a momentary escape: rare diamonds from nature, bottled on canvas.
I paint with color and texture that feel as alive as the landscape itself — vibrant reds, cool blues, lush greens, brilliant yellows — energy that is positive and uplifting. Art should refresh the heart. My work is an invitation to stop, look longer, and feel a little more joy.
